Arlington, VA (November 3, 2008) – The Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) announced its 2009 officers officially assumed their new duties November 1. They were elected officers by MHI membership at the MHI Annual Meeting, September 21-23 in Atlanta.
The 2009 MHI officers are:
• Ken Cashin, President, Windstorm Holdings, LLC - MHI Chairman • Joe Stegmayer, Chairman and CEO, Cavco Industries - MHI Vice Chair • Kevin Clayton, President and CEO, Clayton Homes - MHI Secretary • Don Glisson, Jr., Chairman and CEO, Triad Financial Services - MHI Treasurer • Barry McCabe - MHI Immediate Past Chairman
“Our 2009 MHI officers not only bring a wealth of knowledge about our industry, they bring passion for the industry’s key role in providing quality homes for quality living to Americans in all walks of life,” said Gail Cardwell, MHI President. “The officers, both individually and collectively, as a group, bring the skills necessary to advance this industry forward and reap its rightful share of the housing market.”
MHI serves as the voice for the manufactured and modular housing industries, and as such MHI officers will work closely with MHI staff to advocate for industry positions on a host of regulatory and legislative issues.
“With the national election, MHI is well prepared to begin educating a new Administration and Congress about the important role our industry plays in housing Americans with a broad array of lifestyles and varying income levels,” said Cardwell. “MHI’s new slate of officers will be instrumental in achieving regulatory and legislative goals that will help our members operate in an environment that is conducive to the health of the industry and the well-being of Americans seeking homeownership opportunities in a challenging marketplace.”
