SEMINARS AND BEYOND

While the ACM and PHC programs are the core curriculum of MHEI, the Institute also offers a range of seminars on relevant topics. Among the most popular offerings:

• Crisis Communication: Managing the Media-Provides a road map for developing a customized crisis plan and teaches how to deliver positive industry messages to the media.
• Play It Safe-A disaster preparedness course that teaches about dealing with natural and man-made disasters, including such things as gas explosions and contamination of water supply. Helps students learn the steps to plan ahead so cool heads prevail in any disaster.
• First in Excellence Program-A designation earned by communities that exhibit excellence in their physical site, have high resident satisfaction, complete the ACM courses (or equivalent state courses in Calif. and Nevada). The designation is valid for three years.
• Audiotape series-MHEI offers two informational audiotapes on the Federal Fair Housing Law and the Americans With Disabilities Act.
