Fleetwood Homes announced its sponsorship of the Neal McCoy Tour, the concert series of the popular country recording star. The tour coincides with McCoy's latest CD, due out August 22, and the launch of new Fleetwood products, including the Anniversary Home, Pinnacle Retailer initiative and its two-year warranty program. Promotions will include television advertisements, a special compilation CD offered exclusively at Fleetwood retailers, the Neal McCoy Entertainment System available in Fleetwood Homes, a chance to win a private concert with Neal McCoy, and the "Key to Your Heart Game," where consumers can win a commemorative key that may open the door to a new Fleetwood home.

The Delaware Manufactured Housing Association and First State Manufactured Housing Institute (FSMHI) have reunited. FSMHI is the only association representing Delaware. The executive director is Phyllis McKinley.

According to a new study conducted by Dr. Charles E. Hegji of the Department of Economics at Auburn University Montgomery, manufactured homes appreciate in value and do not have a significant negative impact on the value of adjacent site-built properties. The report investigates the impact on property value in two Alabama counties. The study can be obtained by contacting the Alabama MHI at 800-323-9728.

Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc., announced the receipt of ISO9002 Certification for its headquarters located in Syracuse, New York as well as four other offices. It is only the fifteenth insurance organization in the United States to achieve this certification.

The acquisition of Dynex Financial by Bingham Financial Services Corporation has resulted in several new management assignments. Peter Scherer assumes the role of president and chief executive officer for Dynex. The chief operating officer of Bingham Financial, Jim Smith, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer. Mark Landschulz joins Dynex Financial as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Paul Galaspie has been promoted to senior vice president and chief information officer. Terry Thimsen will now serve as vice president, strategic customer initiatives.

James Hardie Building Products announced the following personnel changes. Regional manufactured housing sales/customer service specialists are: Travis Sims representing Wash., Ore., Idaho, Wyo., Colo., Ark., Hawaii, Montana; Jim Stoddard representing Kan., N.D., S.D., Neb., Minn., Ill., Mont., Iowa, Ohio, Ind., Mich., Wisc.; Benton Reed representing Texas, Okla.; Tim Davis representing Calif., Ariz., Utah, N.M., Nev.; Brian Short representing Fla., Ga., N.C., S.C.; and Mike Hain representing Ala., Miss., Tenn., La., Ky., Ark. Corporate contacts are Steve Heaton, national account manager- manufactured housing; and Bill Hodge, commercial/modular specialist-nationwide.

Oakwood Homes Corporation has announced that Earl C. Brewer, Jr., joined the company as vice president of taxation; Derek Surette has been promoted to vice president and controller of the consumer finance division; Jerry Creel has been promoted to director of human resources for manufacturing; and Dave Velton has been promoted to vice president and retail controller.

The Board of Directors of the RV/MH Heritage Foundation has announced the election of the RV/MH Hall of Fame Class of 2000. The class will be inducted at an industry wide ceremony to be held in Elkart, Ind., on August 3, 2000. The inductees are: Dave Altman, an RV retailer (Altman's Winnebago) from Baldwin Park, Calif.; Terrell Bridges, a housing manufacturer (Chandeleur Homes) from Guntersville, Ala.; John R. Ketelsen, an RV retailer (Ketelson RV) from Marion, Iowa; Bob Kropf, a recreational park trailer manufacturer (Kropf Manufacturing) from Goshen, Ind.; Bob Lee, an RV manufacturer (Country Coach) from Junction City, Ore.; Jerry Pickrell, an RV and manufactured housing industry supplier (La-Salle-Bristol) from Elkhart, Ind.; Dan Rolfes, a manufactured housing retailer (Holiday Homes) from Milford, Ohio; Al Ruhl, an RV industry supplier (Manchester Tank) from Brentwood, Tenn.; Jim Shea, Sr., a manufactured housing and RV manufacturer (Fairmont Homes/ Gulfstream Coach) from Nappanee, Ind.; and Earl "Red" Worley, a manufactured housing retailer (Modern Housing) from Rosell, N.M.
