2004 Submetering Conference Scheduled

The National Submetering & Utility Allocation’s (NSUAA) 4th annual workshop, featuring a special manufactured home community track, will be held February 16–19, 2004 at the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla.

Manufactured home community owners will be able to meet under one roof with the nation’s leading submetering and utility allocation companies and take part in in-depth educational sessions with other owners and managers on the practicalities and benefits of submetering and utility allocation. Attendees will learn how to start a new program, maximize an existing program, lower operating expenses, increase property value, promote conservation and much more.

The workshop sessions include:

Keynote Presentation: EPA Acting Administrator Marianne Lamont Horinko has been invited to speak.

Beginning Life Cycle Track: How to get started and implement an efficient and cost effective program.

Advanced Life Cycle Track: How to maximize an existing program.

Manufactured Home Community Owners Present Case Studies: ROI, enhancing property value, revenue recovery, conservation.

Owners Only Roundtable: All the ins and outs, dos and don’ts you need to know directly from the owners.

Legislative/Regulatory Update: The latest news from across the country. All attendees receive a free reference/legislative library on CD ($10,000 value).

New Construction Primer: Proper utility infrastructure.

“There will be plenty of time during each session for owners and managers to ask questions on all aspects of submetering and utility allocation,” said Chuck Stolberg, executive director of the NSUAA. “And, since we are holding the workshop at a world class resort, we have also built in time for networking opportunities with other owners and managers and recreational activities, such as our popular golf tournament with a new car prize for a hole in one.

“And for the first time, we are holding an awards ceremony, honoring owners and managers for their efforts in successfully implementing a utility cost recovery program,” said Stolberg.

For information on award categories, prizes and how to nominate a community owner or manager, please visit www.nsuaa.org. Also, for the first time, attendees can register for the workshop and make hotel reservations online, also at www.nsuaa.org.
