Datacomp Appraisal Services, an MHI member, recently announced that NCC members could list homes for sale at no charge on their website, www.mhvillage.com. NCC Members may list as many homes as they like for as long as they like without paying a fee. The site is growing rapidly and already has more than 4,500 homes listed throughout the U.S.

With more and more communities actively involved in the resale market, additional ways to inexpensively improve community resale homes are a high priority with most community owners. Individual sellers (FSBOs) and those not part of the NCC or a state association will pay a fee to list homes on the site after they have been encouraged to join or to list their home through a community or retailer who is a member. Listed homes can be in land-lease communities, on individually leased or rented land, or on retailer lots. Repossessed homes may be listed as well. However, only “home only” listings, not involving real estate, will be accepted.

Potential buyers also have completely free access to the site. They can search for homes using a robust yet simple search engine that will allow flexible searching using several characteristics including location, size, price, and bed/bath combinations. They will also be given the opportunity to specify their ideal home and request more information. These potential sales leads will be e-mailed immediately, and also at no charge, to active mhvillage.com NCC sellers in the buyer’s local area.

NCC members can go to www.mhvillage.com and select “Add a Listing” to add their homes to the site at absolutely no charge. Those who have their listings already in electronic format and with more than 20 homes for sale may contact mhvillage.com at (877) 853-0298 to arrange for an electronic file transfer of their listing information.
