The Manufactured Housing Educational Institute offers online training for installers and inspectors of manufactured homes to meet the education requirements for licensing. This is an 8 hour continuing education course for HUD licensed installers in Alaska.

The MHIA of 2000 requires manufactured home installers to be trained and licensed. Some states run their own licensing program, but the federal government oversees installer training and licensing in 15 states. MHEI is only the training provider.
