The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) rescinded three appraisal-related policies introduced in previous years. The rescinded policies included borrower-initiated reconsideration of value (ROV) updates and fair housing compliance requirements for appraisers. The action immediately removed these policies from HUD guidelines and will be formally incorporated in an updated FHA Single Family Housing Policy Handbook.

MHI Outlines Key Ways Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Should Be Serving Manufactured Housing

The Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) has submitted two formal comment letters to U.S. Federal Housing (FHFA) Director Bill Pulte about how Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac should increase their support for manufactured housing. In the two formal comment letters responding to a proposed rule on Enterprise Housing Goals for 2026–2028 and the regulator’s strategic plan for Fiscal Years 2026–2030, MHI urged that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac explicitly prioritize manufactured housing.
