As the control of the House and party balance in the Senate continue to be finalized following Tuesday’s election, the Trump team works on its transition plans, and the Biden administration begins to wind down, MHI is working behind the scenes to continue the momentum we have established among policymakers for industry priorities. Manufactured housing provides quality, attainable housing for Americans, an issue that transcends political parties and we are excited about the opportunities for the industry with the newly elected policymakers.

As results are finalized for the 2024 election, MHI congratulates Congressional champions who were re-elected to the Senate and House of Representatives. Our industry is well-positioned to continue strong relationships with these lawmakers, and we are excited to educate and build relationships with newly elected Members of Congress and the new administration.

Key to these efforts are the relationships we foster with policymakers through the Manufactured Housing Institute Political Action Committee (MHI-PAC). MHI-PAC raises personal, voluntary contributions from eligible industry professionals to support election efforts of qualified federal candidates whose views and voting records reflect the interests of MHI and its members. Our PAC supports bipartisan candidates who share our goal of increasing access to innovative and attainable manufactured homes. In previous election cycles, MHI-PAC was a part of the successful reelection of 90% of the candidates we supported. As the new Congress is seated, our PAC is more important than ever. We appreciate those who have financially supported this critical element of our advocacy program.

MHI is poised to continue elevating the industry among federal policymakers. If you have any questions or want to support our efforts, please contact MHI’s Policy Department at MHIgov@mfghome.org or 703-558-0675.
