The Land-Lease Community of the Year West was awarded to Equity LifeStyle Properties – Monte Vista Village.

Monte Vista Village Resort is an age-qualified community on 142 acres offering a unique resort lifestyle located in the heart of the vibrant desert of Arizona’s Phoenix metropolitan area.

Since 2016, Monte Vista has been developing the property to add more than 275 manufactured homes. To date, approximately 245 of those homes have been sold with the remainder expected to be finalized in 2024. This expansion also aligned with many improvements made throughout the community during 2023. Upgrades included new carpeting in the ballroom and Pueblo room, new ballroom chairs, a new shade structure for the courtyard, new computer and printer equipment for the business center, windscreens for the tennis courts, an additional pottery kiln and updated equipment for the woodshop.

Monte Vista Village offers residents an enriching social lifestyle with a wide array of engaging events and activities catering to diverse interests. From lively happy hours and coffee socials to organized excursions to shows, concerts, and museums, there’s always something exciting happening. Onsite live entertainment adds flair to gatherings, while a variety of dance lessons including square, line, swing, country, round, and ballroom dancing provide opportunities for residents to stay active and socialize. Co-ed water aerobics and weekly dances offer additional avenues for staying fit and connecting with neighbors. The community’s spirit shines through events like golf cart parades and the Canadian-American softball tournaments, fostering camaraderie and friendly competition. With over 75 resident-run clubs covering a wide range of interests and skill levels, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Dedicated spaces for group activities such as woodworking, ceramics, lapidary, crafts, and computer clubs further enhance social and creative experiences. The spacious clubhouse, beautiful banquet room, and large game room serve as inviting hubs for social interaction, making it easy for residents to forge connections and create lasting friendships in Monte Vista Village.
