Monthly Manufactured Housing Production: March production was down 2.3% year-over-year. Production was down 9.0% year-to-date. (Table 3)

Monthly Manufactured Housing Shipments: In March 2026, single-section shipments were down 13.1% year-to-date. Multi-section shipments were down 6.0% year-to-date. (Tables 9-10)

Annual Rate of Shipments: The seasonally adjusted annual rate of shipments (SAAR) was 100,540 (5.2% lower than in 2025). (Table 5)

Regional Performance:4 of the 9 divisions across the country experienced shipment increases from March 2025 to March 2026. The divisions with the largest year-over-year percentage increases in shipments were West North Central (56 homes; 15.7% YoY), East South Central (102 homes; 6.8% YoY), and Middle Atlantic (15 homes; 5.1% YoY).  (Table E2)

FEMA had no home shipments in March. FY2026 total was 0 homes (excluding adjustments).

Current Manufactured Housing landscape includes 147 plants and 33 manufacturers. No new plants opened in March and no plants closed.

Manufactured Housing as Percentage of Single-Family Home Starts: Manufactured Housing accounted for 9.0% of single-family home starts in March 2026. (Table 25, Panel A)
