National Industry Awards Presented at the 2015 National Congress & Expo for Manufactured and Modular Housing

(Arlington, VA – April 15, 2015) Members of the manufactured and modular housing industries gathered today at an awards luncheon to recognize individuals and companies for outstanding achievements. The National Industry Awards, presented during the 2015 National Congress and Expo for Manufactured and Modular Housing, recognized companies from all sectors of the manufactured and modular housing industries.

“We were pleased to offer some new home design awards this year – outstanding interior design and merchandising, small home, and green home awards. All the award winners are leading the way in providing outstanding products, customer service, creative solutions and state of the art homes for today’s homebuyers. They are being recognized today for their leadership, vision and dedication to enhancing and moving the manufactured and modular housing industries forward,” said MHI President & CEO Richard Jennison.

The winners of the “Land-Lease Community of the Year” and “Retail Sales Center of the Year” categories submit entries that are judged by an independent panel of professionals made up of representatives from, planning, community development, realtor, homebuilding and marketing professions. Awards are given in four regional areas of the country.

The “Land-Lease Community of the Year” entries were judged based on a written statement supplied by the entrant, community aesthetics, marketing materials, site plan of the community, community and industry involvement, and the lease and covenants. The independent panel of judges selected the following communities to receive awards:

LAND-LEASE COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR AWARDS

(South) – Cypress Lakes, Lakeland, FL

(Midwest) – The Lakes Estates, Kimball Township, MI

(West) – Antelope Ridge, Colorado Springs, CO

RETAIL SALES CENTER OF THE YEAR AWARDS

The “Retail Sales Center of the Year” award entries were judged based on an entry statement, management philosophy, retail center aesthetics, marketing materials and community and industry involvement. The independent panel of judges selected the following retailers:

(Northeast/Mid-Atlantic) – Silverpoint Homes, Beaver, WV

(South) – Hawks Homes, Conway, AR

(Midwest) – Saddlebrook Farms Sales Center, Grayslake, IL

(West) – Advantage Homes, San Jose, CA
