April is Fair Housing Month, commemorating the signing of the Fair Housing Act of 1968. This Month is an opportunity to highlight the significance of the 1968 Act, raise public awareness of fair housing rights, responsibilities, and enforcement efforts, and emphasize the importance of diverse and inclusive communities. This year’s theme is Fair Housing: The ‘Act’ in Action.

HUD will commemorate Fair Housing Month with a virtual Opening Ceremony on April 11 at 2:00 p.m. (ET). The ceremony is free, but registration is necessary to attend. A complete listing of HUD Fair Housing Month events and activities is available on the HUD website.
