MHI Members Win at PAC Fundraisers

During the MHI Annual Meeting, 50 MHI members won $18,000 in prizes at the MHI-PAC Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is the largest annual fundraiser for the industry’s only federal political action committee.

More than 650 people at MHI member companies participated in the Sweepstakes, which raised more than $55,000 to support the MHI-PAC’s efforts to help elect pro-manufactured housing candidates to Congress.

John McCall from Stonybrook Home Sales in Thomasville, PA won the grand prize of $5,000. Additional winners include 2nd prize ($1,000 each): Cody Grissom – Cavco Industries, Inc., Madison, AL; Tyler Maddux – Clayton Homes, Buckeye, AZ; Layne Womble – Cavco Homes of Texas, Seguin, TX, and 3rd Prize ($500 each): Derek Dodson – Champion Homes, Burleson, TX; Charles Laughlin – Clayton Homes, Oxford, NC; Walter Mosher – Clayton Waco I, Waco, TX; Ray Parma – Cavco Waco, Waco, TX; Dalton Schaub – Yes! In addition to the Sweepstakes, MHI members bid on Silent Auction items to raise more than $6,000 to benefit the PAC Administrative Fund. The fund pays the administrative costs of MHI-PAC.

Because the PAC Administrative Fund is used for fundraising expenses, 100% of MHI members’ personal contributions to MHI-PAC go directly to support election of the industry’s congressional champions.

Auction items included golf shirts from The Masters, Old Forester Birthday bourbon, a Prada wallet, a dove hunting experience, and trips to the Palisades Tahoe Ski Resort and the Biloxi IP Casino Resort.
