HUD Code Updates Take Effect
On Monday, September 15, the Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards (MHCSS) 4th and 5th Sets went into effect. As announced in September 2024, the 4th and 5th Sets were the most extensive updates to the HUD Code in more than 30 years, containing 74 updates to reference standards, 16 new standards, and 3 regulatory text changes—all of which were initially set to become enforceable after 180 days.
