All programming, with the exception of the Wednesday Congressional meetings and the Wednesday reception, will take place at the Salamander DC. 

Airport Information

You have your choice of three airports when traveling into Washington, DC: Ronald Reagan National (DCA) is 5 miles from the hotel; Dulles International (IAD) is 28 miles from the hotel; Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) is 32 miles from the hotel.

Uber and Taxi Service

Approved rideshare services (such as Uber and Lyft) and taxis are available at all three airports.  Taxi service from Reagan National Airport (DCA) to/from the hotel is approximately $20 each way; from Dulles International Airport (IAD) to/from the hotel is approximately $60 – $80 each way; and from Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) to/from the hotel is approximately $65 each way.

Parking at Salamander DC

Salamander Washington DC is the nearest hotel parking garage to the National Mall in Southwest D.C. Guests and non-guests of the hotel can enjoy all-day parking in D.C. near the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, and National Mall. Parking rates are listed below.

Health & Safety

MHI’s goal is to ensure all individuals on site—attendees, staff and venue personnel—remain healthy, safe and comfortable throughout the event. We are monitoring area COVID-19 status and working in partnership with the team at the Salamander DC and local authorities. Currently the city of Washington, D.C. does not require proof of vaccinations or masks indoors. 


Registration will be located on the lobby level of the Salamander DC outside of the Marina room. Registration will open at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, June 6.

Meeting Attire and Weather

We recommend business attire for the Homes on the Hill event. Weather temperatures in Washington, D.C. vary in June from a high of 85 degrees to a low of 63 degrees.
