MHI announced the 2024 Excellence in Manufactured Housing Award recipients last week during the MHI Congress & Expo in Las Vegas. The annual awards program honors MHI members in the manufactured and modular home industry who provide outstanding products, customer service, creative solutions, and state-of-the-art homes.

 

This year MHI received more than 80 submissions in 18 categories. The winners were chosen by their peers and an independent panel of experts for their leadership and dedication to the manufactured housing industry during the last year.

 

The 2024 Excellence in Manufactured Housing Award winners, listed by category, are:

 

Manufacturer of the Year Awards

• Manufacturer of the Year – Three Plants or Less: Oak Creek Homes

• Volume Manufacturer of the Year: Clayton Home Building Group

 

Retail Sales Center of the Year Awards

• Retail Sales Center of the Year – East: Clayton Homes – Cookeville, TN

• Retail Sales Center of the Year – West: Homes Direct of Oregon LLC

 

Land-Lease Community Awards

• Manufactured Home Community Operator of the Year: UMH Properties, Inc.

• Land-Lease Community of the Year – East: Equity LifeStyle Properties – Village Green

• Land-Lease Community of the Year – West: Equity LifeStyle Properties – Monte Vista Village

 

Supplier of the Year Award

• Supplier of the Year: Style Crest Inc

 

Lender of the Year Awards

California Regulator Extends Mitigation Fee for Manufactured Home Furnaces

On Friday, January 9, California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District (SC AQMD) unanimously approved (11–0) an extension of the mitigation fee for manufactured homes to comply with the low nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions limit of 14 nanograms per joule (ng/J) for natural gas central furnaces. The new deadline is September 30, 2030.
