Every other week, the MHI News & Updates newsletter updates MHI members about the most important MHI & industry news. These were the most-clicked stories in 2025:

Innovative Housing Showcase

The most-read stories this year were from the Innovative Housing Showcase in September.

UMH Properties exhibited homes on the National Mall—marking its fifth time participating in this important event. In 2025, UMH sponsored three homes in partnership with Cavco Industries, Champion Homes and Ritz-Craft.

Clayton Homes also exhibited a home for the showcase, displaying a single-section CrossMod® home that highlighted the innovation and versatility of this home category.

MHI appreciated the engagement of these exhibitors, as the showcase continues to be an effective way to demonstrate to policymakers the quality and attainability of manufactured housing. The homes on display represented a range of types and siting options that respond to the nation’s diverse housing supply needs.

Relive the event by reading about the arrival of four manufactured homes to the National Mall and watching the recap video.

House Advances Revised Housing Package with Major Wins for Manufactured Housing

The U.S. House of Representatives has overwhelmingly passed a revised housing package by a vote of 396-13, marking a significant step forward in Congress’ efforts to address the nation’s housing supply and affordability challenges. Consistent with the Senate-passed bill in March, the legislation includes several key provisions that directly support the expansion of manufactured housing, including a full title dedicated to manufactured housing called “Manufactured Housing for America.” This reflects strong and growing bipartisan recognition of manufactured housing as essential to expanding housing supply and delivering attainable homeownership opportunities for American families.
